Tributary to Lac La Biche

After Replacement

Before Replacement

Custom concrete headwalls were designed to avoid the need for land purchase and fish habitat compensation measures. The new culvert was constructed completely within the existing right-of-way. Additionally, MPA effectively formulated a culvert design that would incorporate a CSP barrel that was previously purchased by the County.  These design considerations resulted in cost savings while still achieving the needs of regulators, provincial funding agencies and the County.
