The Company
Our 100% employee owned firm was established in 1996 to provide clients with specialized engineering services to bridge, bridge culvert and drainage projects.
In particular, MPA Engineering Ltd. (MPA) focuses on the bridge related requirements of rural and urban municipalities, the Provincial Government (Alberta Transportation), oil and gas companies and contractors. This has included working in both a Prime-Consultant role or partnering with other firms to provide a well rounded design team capable of delivering all of our client’s needs.
MPA’s staff understands the issues our clients face in maintaining large and aging infrastructure networks with increasing traffic volumes often pushed beyond their original design capacity by wider and heavier vehicles. Whether we are working on the design of a single bridge repair or an overall Bridge Asset Management program, we strive to develop cost effective and practical bridge engineering solutions.
Currently, we have offices located in Sherwood Park, Peace River and Grande Prairie, Alberta which gives us a strong presence in Central and Northern Alberta. However, our client base and the geographic region we service is growing along with our reputation for quality work and timely project delivery.
Our clients’ needs are our priority. Being a relatively small 20-30 employee-owned engineering firm with a “flat” organizational structure, means that our staff pull in the same direction to continuously meet all of our clients needs and expectations. This business model allows MPA to quickly and effectively react to our clients needs without added delays and bureaucracy.
Due to our progressive management style and team atmosphere, MPA is proud of its low employee turnover, which results in a dedicated and reliable group of engineers and technologists that are always available and consistently strive to meet and exceed our clients expectations.
Development of strong and ongoing relationships with our clients mean that our employees develop a firm understanding of each of our clients budgetary and political constraints and ensure these constraints are addressed on each and every project. Our goal is to simply meet or exceed out clients expectations by providing cost effective, practical and timely solutions on each and every project that we take on.
