Pats Creek

After Maintenance

Before Maintenance

Pats Creek flows through the Town of Peace River below portions of the main street.  The elliptical SPCSP structure is nearing the end of its service life and requires ongoing repairs.  For this project MPA reviewed the net present value costs of repairing the entire culvert, repairing the critical sections and replacing the culvert.

It was determined that repairing the most critical sections by installing a partial tunnel liner in areas where cracked rings existed was the most economical option to extend the service life of the structure.  Additionally, portions of the culvert floor were repaired by installing cast in place concrete over the damaged, corroded and failed sections.

Roles and Responsibilities: Design, Tender Preparation, Construction Supervision, Post Construction.
